I’d hope that most people thought the same way as Alfonzo Rachel; looking past what has been ingrained in our heads from school and seeing things for what they really are. I think it’s about time we get rid of specialty months that pander to a certain race, creed, or culture. We’re all Americans, we all normal people of different backgrounds.
On the flip side, I’m sure some religious, or especially anti-secular, groups would make a similar argument about Christmas or other christian holidays.
